Campaign Development 101: How to build workplace and community power by taking on common issues together

Monday, July 23rd 6:30pm- 8:30pm at Greater Southeastern Mass Labor Council, 560 Pleasant Street, New Bedford, MA 02740
Participants will be provided with participatory strategy and organizing campaign development tools, including sharing examples of how campaigns work and tips for putting them together. We will discuss different types of power, approaches to base building and outreach, and steps of escalation. Materials will be provided that are useful to expanding and sustaining involvement in organizing.

Learn more about ways people have created campaigns in order to win bigger victories and build power with others. This participatory session will share campaign development methods to assist you in identifying and turning workers’ problems and workplace grievances into campaign issues.

This workshop is being facilitated by UMass Dartmouth Labor Education Center and it is dedicated to advance the strategic campaign building happening in our region, and simultaneously make connections between organizing efforts.
