Take Action

Stand in solidarity with families going hungry by pledging to fast on August 11 and calling on the Senate to provide much needed relief for laid off workers.

Essential public-sector workers we all depend on are on the front lines of exposure to this virus. Please ask your State Representative and State Senator to support H4745.

This pandemic has laid bare how intertwined public health and the economy are – and how absolutely vital working people are to keeping every family safe, secure, healthy, and fed. Please ask your State Representative and State Senator to support HD5031 - An Act providing hazard pay for essential workers in the COVID-19 emergency, filed by Rep. Maria Robinson.

Essential workers are on the frontlines of this pandemic. Occupational presumption legislation would ensure that any essential worker reporting to work outside their home who contracts coronavirus is presumed to have gotten it from exposure at work.

We are asking that you contact your state Rep. and State Senator and ask them to co-sponsor and support H4738This legislation would provide vital on the job protections for all workers in factories and manufacturing.

In order to ensure that all those who feel sick or may have been exposed to COVID-19 stay home and avoid exposing others to the virus, all workers must have the ability to miss work to care for themselves or their family, without losing the pay they need to make ends meet. In the face of the COVID-19 outbreak and the massive economic disruption it is creating, Massachusetts must urgently act to protect working people.
